Who is she?
Hi there! My name is Iman and I've been working as a typewriter poet since 2017. I've worked at weddings, birthday parties, corporate events, concerts, store openings, holidays you name it! This is a lovely, unique and memorable addition to any event that will have your guests talking for years to come.
People laugh, people cry, and even want to give hugs. Overall, it's a way to promote genuine human connection in a unique and special way which allows your guest to feel seen and heard, and the poem becomes a keepsake for your guest to take with them.
A little background about me, I am a Bangladeshi American Poet and I've been I've been doing spoken word poetry since 2010 which is what original led me down this path. In addition to being a poet, I am a chef, visual artist, and generally prolific creative-type. If there’s something to be made, I want to make it from scratch, by hand, from the ground up. My poetry is often about putting form to very specific feelings … to emotions that seem abstract until you read the words on the page. Recently relocated from a decade in Brooklyn to Boston.
